This course will teach the basics of how to take fashion images for a variety of commissioners, from magazines to fashion designers. Working individually and in teams you will develop your ideas and analyse the various phases of organising a fashion photo-shoot, from the initial concept to its realization and participate in a magazine style editorial shoot.
Emphasis will be on how to work with models, fashion stylists, make-up artists and hair stylists. Topics covered will also include the selection of locations, construction of studio sets, propping, accessorising, camera settings, lighting control, use of backdrops, reflectors and other practical techniques applied for fashion and editorial photography. The course will include production and execution of a fashion shoot.
Students are expected to be familiar with their camera operating system prior to starting the course.
This programme is designed to be accessible to a wide range of learners, from those wishing to explore a creative subject to those already working on a freelance basis, looking to up skill.
This course requires you to be a minimum of 18 years old, be eligible to study in the UK and have a good level of English.
