Geri Halliwell, formerly known as “Ginger Spice” of the Spice Girls, has recently been toying with the idea of opening up her own free school.

Now settled down with husband Christian Horner—a Formula 1 team boss—and their daughter Bluebell, the 43-year-old former pop-star wants to set up a school that specializes in the arts and business.

In an interview with The Daily Mail, Halliwell said: “I believe in education. It’s an empowering fundamental human right that everyone deserves. Education is a foundation for life.”

While her plans are still in their early stages, The Guardian reports that the Department for Education has confirmed that there have been discussions regarding Halliwell’s project. Applications to launch free schools are accepted annually, however, requirements consist of finding a suitable location, backing, and planning permission.

If all goes according to plan Geri Halliwell’s co-ed secondary school will possibly be built close to her north London home by 2018.
