Over the past five years, the Halton Catholic Children’s Education Foundation (HCCEF)—an organization committed to enhancing the educational experience of students within its Catholic school communities in Burlinton, Ontario—has hosted the Annual HCCEF Evening with Bishop Crosby. The purpose of this event is to raise money for the HCCEF Student Guardian Campaign, which helps students in need.
In 2014, the event—which consisted of 350 diners and various sponsors—helped raise over $20,000 for the campaign. However this year’s Evening with Bishop Crosby—held on November 4—surpassed last year’s, raising more than $23,000!
All of the proceeds raised at the event go to the HCCEF Student Guardian Campaign, in order to support children in need, helping them reach their full educational potential.
Bishop Douglas Crosby, the Bishop of Hamilton, stressed the importance of this campaign in his keynote address, saying: “Supporting children in their growth to maturity is so very important. What I love about this gathering is the goodness of the cause and the joy of the participants.”
