China Now Using Drones to Monitor School Exams
Career Path : Education News
China’s notoriously difficult university entrance exams (known as gaokao) are well-known around the world for being high-stakes and competitive, and because of this, they are prone to cheating.
This year however, entrance exams in the Hunan province of China will be monitored by drones. The drones will hover above the testing areas, searching for any unusual mobile device signals. The kinds of devices that students have been caught using in the past include: hidden ear pieces, picture-taking pens, and devices like the Apple Watch. The drone would be able to catch the signals from any of these hidden devices and effectually catch the cheater.
Passing these exams is the only way for students in China to attend university, and potentially land a suitable job.
