Canadian Cities Rank Top 10 on QS Best Student Cities List For 2015
Career Path : Education News
Each year, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a networking company that specializes in higher education, creates a list ranking the 50 best cities in the world to be a student. This year, Canada snagged two spots in the top 10!
In order to establish this list, QS evaluated each city in five distinct categories including university rankings, student mix, employer activity, affordability and desirability. Participating cities received a score out of 100 in each category, and a combined score out of 500.
Without further ado, here are the 10 best cities in the world to be a student:
- Paris (France)
- Melbourne (Australia)
- London (England)
- Sydney (Australia)
- Hong Kong (China)
- Boston (USA)
- Tokyo (Japan)
- Montreal (Canada)
- Toronto (Canada)
- Seoul (South Korea)
Another of the company’s lists ranks the top universities in the world. And this year, one school in each of the Canadian cities featured above ranked fairly well. While the University of Toronto made #20 on the list, Montreal’s own McGill University was not far behind at #21.
