The Computer Graphic Design diploma program at Herzing College was created to provide students with the fundamental graphic design knowledge that’s essential for rewarding work in today’s fast-paced, technologically obsessed world.
Students will learn the ins and outs of various techniques and approaches in the graphic design world such as:
- Lettering and typography
- Principles of web design
- Colour composition
- 3D rendering
- Print and web layouts
- Design software (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)

As students progress through the program, Herzing College’s qualified instructors will guide them in developing excellent portfolios of their work to demonstrate their skills to prospective employers.
This program will prepare students to be able to write Adobe certification exams for Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop and become “Adobe Certified Associates.”
Creative ability and artistic talent are paramount to succeeding in the program, but a high level of commitment and excellent attention to detail are also sought after skills for prospective students. Students will demonstrate their knowledge and growth by developing a portfolio of work throughout the program. Students will learn how to communicative effectively in both verbal and written forms of expression, as well as work independently on projects, collaborate in a team dynamic, and keep their cool in high-stress situations.

Through an agreement with Herzing University in the United States, graduates of this program can transfer part of their credits to Herzing University in the United States and finish their associate degree at a U.S. campus, online from Canada, or a combination of both.
