Training in Police Foundations for a Secure Future

17 MAR 2014

In this day and age, we’re becoming more and more concerned about security, not just on a community level but a national level as well. As such, this means that jobs in the security and law enforcement sector are growing by leaps and bounds. People are more concerned about safety, so the wealth of jobs available in areas of security is increasing to meet this demand. Training in police foundations is a great way to become prepared for a rewarding career in a variety of security settings. Many successful graduates of police foundations go on to assume roles as border guards, national park wardens or even work as fisheries patrol officers in the Canadian Coast Guard. Check out this blog post by Herzing College to find out more about police foundations training and some of the excellent and lucrative careers that it can prepare you for.

“Having borders between countries is exceptionally important for regulating the coming and going of people across nations, and making sure that people have the right credentials and clearance to enter a country. Border guards have been in high demand since the early 2000s, as a result of the 9/11 attacks and the Western world’s increased security concern.

Border guards in Canada enjoy extremely stable careers and a relatively low-stress and safe workplace. Unlike police officers, who often find themselves in dangerous situations, border guards are usually tasked with more administrative duties like vehicle inspection, customs forms and ensuring that individuals have proper documentation.”
