Kevin Smith, a New Jersey native, attended one of the best film schools in Canada. He was born August 2nd, 1970 in Red Bank. He is best known for directing films such as Clerks, Chasing Amy, and Jersey Girl. He also directed and starred in his film Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. He was awarded an honorary diploma in 2005.

Not only is he a director, actor, and film maker, he is also credited as a writer, author, comedian, and podcasters. His production company is Askew Productions and his comics are sold at his novelty book store, Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash. Kevin Smith has won several awards for his work across each medium.

Clint Eland

Canadian native Clint Eland is another Canada film school success, although you may not know who he is, you’re sure to recognize his work. He has been a producer on several shows including Toot and Puddle and Jake and the Neverland Pirates and the movie Looney Tunes, Back in Action. He is the founder and president of Mercury Filmworks, the largest privately owned animation production studio in Canada.

Kevin Brauch

If you watch the Food Network or Discovery Channel, you have probably heard of Kevin Brauch, but may be unsure of who he actually is. He hosts several shows on each of the networks such as MegaWorld. He attended a film school in Toronto in a radio and television program and has received several awards for his hosting prowess on several television shows, most notable is his early work on children’s programs.

Nia Vardalos

Nia Vardalos is probably most known for her role in the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding. She is not only an actress, but also a screenwriter, singer, director, and producer. She has had several television roles and even provided a voice over for a radio production. She has received many award nominations and wins as an actress and has also received awards as a writer. Mrs. Vardalos is a graduate of a film school in Toronto.
