Automotive Technicians Constantly Adapting

24 MAR 2014

The automotive industry is one of the most rapidly changing industries on the planet, save for the technology and computer industries. What this means is that the latest automotive technology is constantly in flux, changing day in and day out. For automotive service technicians and various others that are employed in the wide world of automobiles, this means constantly staying on top of trends and technologies, lest you fall behind and end up obsolete. This means keeping track of what technologies are being implemented in engines, and just generally taking a vested interest in how the industry is changing. Automotive Training Centre has written a great blog post that talks about why the industry is moving so fast these days, as well as some great tips and tricks for constantly adapting. Check it out!

“Because our world is becoming more and more globalized and interconnected, this means that barriers between countries are getting looser, which means a higher rate of importation and exportation of vehicles. What this means is that our mechanics here in North America are going to have to brush up on their knowledge of vehicles from European or Asian countries, as we’ll be seeing a lot more of them in the coming years.

In Europe, diesel is still extremely popular, which means that there is going to be a sharp increase in demand for skilled diesel engine mechanics when cars start being shipped over here.”
