7 Savory Cocktails to Celebrate Spring

Cocktails and spring go great together, which is why we loved this article by Mashable on 7 savory cocktails ideal for spring.

“1. Dragon’s Bane

This recipe comes from Rendezvous in Central Square in Cambridge, Mass. Their bar manager, Scott Holiday, is well known in the Boston area for creating tasty cocktails with classic ingredients. They also typically have ingenious names.

2 ounces of St. George Terroir Gin.
1 ounces of Punt e Mes.
1/4 ounces of Génépy des Alpes (can substitute Green Chartreuse.)

Stir with ice to chill and dilute to about 5 ounces. Strain into a chilled double old fashioned glass. Squeeze a lemon twist over the drink, rub the rim and discard the twist.

2. El Popo

2 ounces of Vida Mezcal.
1/2 ounces of Vallet Fernet.
1/2 ounces of Vallet Amargo.
1/4 ounces of rich simple syrup (syrup of Demerara sugar.)

Stir with ice to chill and dilute to about 5 ounces. Strain into a chilled double old fashioned glass. Squeeze a lemon twist over the drink, rub the rim and discard the twist.

3. Michelada

Who knew beer could be spicy and delicious? This classic Mexican cocktail has a variety of different combinations, but salty and spicy tones are the basis.”
